What we decline

Published in full, because what a group refuses tells you more than what it sells.

A conclusion ordered in advance

The most common approach, and an automatic no. If the brief is a finding rather than a question, there is nothing to analyse. A report written toward a predetermined answer collapses the first time it is read adversarially, and it takes the analyst's credibility with it, which means it also damages every other client relying on that credibility.

Enhancement that is really invention

Detail that was never recorded cannot be recovered. Upscaling a face out of a handful of pixels produces a plausible face, and a plausible face that no camera ever saw is not evidence, it is a generated image of a stranger. We will say what a recording does and does not resolve, and we will not manufacture the rest.

Work aimed at a private individual

No monitoring, no locating, no building a file on a named person for someone who is not a party to a proceeding. This holds regardless of how sympathetic the stated reason is.

Anything requiring a claim we cannot support

Including certainty we do not have. A range, a confidence, or a plain statement that the recording cannot settle the question is the honest output, and it is the one you get even where a firmer answer would be more useful to you.

Marketing dressed as verification

Across the group, nothing is sold that implies an independent assessment we did not carry out. This is the same rule that led the directory node to refuse a paid verification badge: plasmadonate.org sells placement, visibly labelled, and does not sell the appearance of endorsement.

Volume outreach

No cold sequences at scale, no scraped personal contacts, and nothing sent without the owner of this group approving each message. That is a standing rule and it is not negotiable per engagement.
